The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) published the “Technical Regulation for Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment” on July 9, 2021. This regulation was originally scheduled to come into effect on January 5, 2022, however, SASO has decided to postpone the implementation date for 6 months. The regulation will be implemented in the phases below:
