Understanding Type Approval in Jordan
Type Approval in Jordan is a prerequisite for the importation and sale of telecommunications and electronic products. This process verifies that devices comply with technical specifications and safety standards mandated by the TRC. It ensures that products meet the requirements for interoperability, electromagnetic compatibility, and compliance with local regulations. This includes regulatory compliance with radio testing, EMC, and electrical safety.
TRC Certification: Accessing the Jordanian Market
TRC certification is required for all telecommunications and electronic devices intended for the Jordanian market. Governed by the TRC, this certification confirms that products meet regulatory requirements, including safety and technical standards.
Recent Developments and Initiatives
Staying on top of recent developments and initiatives is crucial for maneuvering through the certification process effectively. The TRC often updates its procedures and regulations to align with technological advancements. Recent updates include amendments to type approval conditions and procedures, as well as the launch of 5G technology, reflecting Jordan’s dedication to embracing innovation.
