Thailand TISI Updates Air Purifier Standard

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has published TIS60335 Vol.2 (65)-2564 on July 12, 2022. This new mandatory standard for Air Purifiers is equal to the IEC60335-2-65:2015 standard, and it will come into effect on April 8, 2023. Singapore IMDA Publishes New Security Requirement for Cellular Devices

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore has published Technical Specification Security Requirements to Guard against Network Storms for Cellular Devices, IMDA TS CD-SEC, Issue 1 in July 2022. These new standards come into force on January 2, 2023. New security requirements include: Guard Against Network Storms; Controlled Access; Secure Over-The-Air (OTA) Update. Mauritius ICTA Allows WAS/RLAN Use in 6 GHz Band

The Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) of Mauritius has published the “Decision for Allocation of Additional Spectrum in the Frequency Range 5945-6425 MHz for Broadband Wireless Access Services in Mauritius” on August 4, 2022. Maldives CAM to Update Type Approval Regulation

The Communication Authority of Maldives (CAM) stopped issuing approvals in July 2022 while changes are being made to the Type Approval regulation. The upcoming changes include new pricing for Type Approval certificates. No official communication has been published yet. Approve-IT will continue to monitor the situation closely.
