The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has published Decision 130 “On the Procedure for the import into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union of products subject to mandatory conformity assessment in the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union” on November 12, 2021. Imported products that are listed in the Unified List of Products for which mandatory requirements are established within the Customs Union, or in the lists of products subject to mandatory conformity assessment with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Union, will need to comply with technical regulations under this new procedure.

Samples to be imported for research, testing, and measurement will not be subject to mandatory conformity assessment provided that the declarant has an agreement, contract, or letter with the Certifying Body (CB) or Test Lab confirming the purpose and number of necessary samples. Additionally, spare parts imported by authorized foreign manufacturers of finished products for maintenance or repair of previously imported finished products will not be subject to mandatory conformity assessment.

The Decision will come into effect on January 30, 2022.
