The China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) announced on February 27, 2023 that GB 31241-2022 “Safety Technical Specifications for Lithium-ion Batteries and Battery Packs for Portable Electronic Products,” which was released on December 29, 2022, will be implemented on January 1, 2024. This new standard will replace GB 31241-2014 beginning January 1, 2024.
