Brazil ANATEL Publishes Ato 5159

The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) in Brazil has issued Ato 5159 on April 8, 2022, which will replace Ato 3481 in 6 months. This new Act applies to wired and wireless power supplies and chargers meant to be used with cell phones, and clarifies how EMC and safety tests should be done for these types of products. Additionally, the use of the local safety label will be voluntary for inductive chargers built into vehicles. Please contact your Approve-IT project manager for more information.
