Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) in Argentina has released version 20.1 of its Low Power Devices (LPD) technical standard ENACOM-Q2-60.14.   The updated standard was released through Resolution 551/2021 in the Official Bulletin of Argentina on April 27th, 2021, and will come into enforcement 90 days after its publication on July 27th, 2021.  The major changes are the following:

  • The shared use bands 915-928 MHz, 2400-2483.5 MHz and 5725-5850 MHz have been categorized based on STIC service
  • The allowed Peak Electric Field Intensity level of devices operating in the bands 3.1-10.6 GHz & 22.0-26.65 GHz was increased from 6926 µV/m to 115486 µV/m
  • The allowed Resolution Bandwidth of devices operating in the bands 3.1-10.6 GHz & 22.0-26.65 GHz, was increased from 3 MHz to 50 MHz, a change that enhances the operation of UWB devices
  • The required detector for 314-316 MHz devices was changed from Quasi-Peak to Average
